Photographers

So we have started looking into photographers. Had a meeting on Thursday morning and will meet with two more next week. Photos are super important to me so I want to make sure we get our money's worth out of it. We are looking for more of a photo journalistic view as opposed to posed photographs. Of course we will be doing some formal pictures but I like it when the photos are of us and our guests enjoying themselves at our wedding. So we will see what we come up with.

After that we will start looking at DJ's. Why is this wedding business so difficult?!?!

Wedding Colors

So I'm pretty sure we have decided to go with a black, white, pool with hints of pinks as our colors. This inspiration board is close to what we are looking for, but with hints of pink here and there. Have not started looking for bridesmaid dresses but each girl will pick out her own style (within the same lines) dress. 99% sure it will be black with a pool color ribbon. For the guys, Kurt has not made any decision (not sure when he will either).

So it's booked.....

We went and booked Arrowhead this past Saturday. Kurt, my dad and I met with Kristina to go over some more questions we had. She also took us outside to where the ceremony site will be and explained to us the plans the board has to make that a permanent site. My dad also has some plans on where he want to put flowers and arches and anything else he can think of.

I can't wait to actually start making stuff for the wedding, but having the place booked is a HUGE load off my shoulders. We have to go take some pictures so I can put all my bridesmaids to work making the Save the Dates. Love you girls.

Tomorrow is the day.....

So tomorrow is the big day! We are going to Arrowhead to sign our first of many contracts. I can't wait, Kurt can. Mom and dad are coming along to start taking pictures so they can start planning flowers and stuff.

Arrowhead Golf Club

So we finally decided on a place for our ceremony/reception. Well actually, I knew all along I just needed to get Kurt on board with this place. So I put together a presentation for Kurt and he agreed. We will be getting married at Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton, IL.

Engagement

So Kurt asked me to marry him on January 29. We were in front of the Bellagio Hotel watching the dancing water fountains. He got down on one knee and I asked him "What are you doing". Before I realized what was going on he pulled out my beautiful ring. I said OF COURSE, then cried. Yamila has some of it on tape but all you can hear is her screaming and crying. After this excitement we went to eat at the Paris buffet. Where Kurt and Yamila ate tons of crab legs. Afterwards we were surprised by a limo ride that was set up by Nicole and Nick. I was still in shock that Kurt managed to plan this and I had no clue!!!

Ok Nicole I need some help!

So I am starting this blog about our wedding so I could look back on this and see all the hardwork that went into planning this wedding. Also, this will give my family in Argentina a chance to see everything that is going on.

I'm new at this so it will not be perfect but it will be mine.
